Photojournalism is one of the most effective ways to connect a reader or viewer with the story you’re telling as a journalist. The empathy that comes from a well-shot image and the truth that is unavoidable in visual journalism have led photojournalism to skyrocket as a tool in the industry. Justin has a passion for this medium of storytelling, and he has the experience needed to match that passion. The tens of thousands of photos he’s taken have varied greatly in subjects — from the April pro-Palestine protests on UT’s campus and subsequent Austin-area demonstrations to longhorn swim meets, Justin takes each assignment as an opportunity to grow in skill.
